The Creamy Blue Huba

Creamy "Blue-Haba" Ranch: Sweet, Tangy, and a Serious Kick
If you think ranch dressing is just a standard, creamy sidekick, think again. We’re taking everything you love about a rich, classic ranch and turning up the volume with a star ingredient straight from the MJD Apiary test kitchen: Blueberry Habanero Infused KICKIN Honey.
This dressing strikes the ultimate culinary balance. It starts with a cool, creamy tang from dairy and mayo, delivers a burst of jammy, sweet blueberry goodness, and finishes with a slow-building, fiery habanero heat that lingers just long enough to keep you coming back for more.
Why It Works
The Flavor Triad: The natural fruitiness of the blueberry softens the initial sting of the habanero, while the richness of the mayo and Greek yogurt creates a velvety smooth texture that coats greens effortlessly.
Versatility: While it’s phenomenal over a crisp salad, it doubles as an incredible dip for spicy wings, fresh crudités, or a drizzle over grilled steak and roasted vegetables.
The Recipe: Creamy "Blue-Haba" Ranch
Yields: Approx. ¾ cup
Prep time: 5 minutes
Ingredients:
¼ cup MJD Apiary Blueberry Habanero Infused KICKIN Honey
⅓ cup high-quality mayonnaise
2 Tbsp plain Greek yogurt or sour cream
1 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
½ tsp garlic powder
¼ tsp onion powder
¼ tsp smoked paprika (optional, for an extra layer of depth)
1–2 Tbsp milk or buttermilk (to adjust consistency)
Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
Instructions:
Mix the Base: In a small mixing bowl or jar, whisk together the mayonnaise, Greek yogurt, and apple cider vinegar until completely smooth.
Infuse with Flavor: Whisk in your MJD Apiary Blueberry Habanero Infused KICKIN Honey, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika (if using).
Find Your Flow: Add the milk or buttermilk one tablespoon at a time, whisking continuously until the dressing reaches your ideal drizzling consistency.
Season & Rest: Season with a generous pinch of salt and black pepper to taste. Pro tip: Let it chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving to let the sweet-and-spicy flavors meld together.
Chef's Serving Suggestion:
Drizzle generously over a bed of crisp mixed greens topped with grilled chicken breast, fresh fresh blueberries, candied pecans, and crumbled goat cheese.
